About Christelle Kedi
Christelle Kédi is an award-winning make-up artist (GLE One London, Rising Star 2008 and Women4Africa, Makeup Artist of the year 2012) and beauty historian. Born and raised in Paris, she started in 2007 a London-based consultancy focusing in makeup & fashion guidance.
Christelle mainly focuses on Afro aesthetics and has worked with several magazines including National Geographic Green, The Voice Scarf and New African Woman to name a few. She has also been commissioned by Royal African Society, Fashion Works, London Fashion Week, Afro Hair Show 2012, Boucles d’Ebène and Origins of the Afro Hair Comb exhibition (Cambridge University).
Her very first book “Beautifying the body in ancient Africa and today” (published in 2013 by Books of Africa) is a historical and identity journey through the African sense of beauty and secular secrets.
